"We do not dream of universities under police state. Our aim is the law to have deterrent effect. We do not want policemen holding the role of the bogeyman. We want the universities to return to the students, the professors and to their staff, and that's the reason we are fighting", Education Minister Niki Kerameos said on Tuesday addressing the joint meeting of the parliamentary committees that are discussing the interministerial bill.
She also said that instead of founding new schools we should focus and take care of existing ones.
