Alt.FM Varvitsiotis: Turkey behaving like an unpredictable neighbour

Alternate Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis on Wednesday sent a message to Turkey to stop rhetoric that stokes tension and avoid actions that do not help in its de-escalation, in an interview with the public broadcaster ERT.

Commenting on the new Turkish NAVTEX, Varvitsiotis noted: "Turkey should not behave like an unpredictable neighbour. If it wishes to come closer to Europe it should set aside the rhetoric of tension and refrain from actions that do not help a de-escalation and good neighbourly relations".
