Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday appealed to the voters of parties that will not participate in the elections on July 7, urging them to vote for ND.

He said that New Democracy was the only safe choice, "the only vote that will not be lost".

Mitsotakis began his tour of Ilia from Ancient Olympia, where he visited the museums and archaeological sites.

He also referred to the issue of growth, noting that "the slogan with which we will go to the July 7 elections is strong growth, a self-sufficient Greece."

Referring to the national elections, he said that "a cycle, a cycle of almost a decade, is closing and on July 7 we will vote for the Greece that we want and I have no doubt that, with the support of all of you, we will carry out the great political change that began in the European elections."

He also addressed young people, saying, "I am telling them to first vote and then go for a swim because this vote is important for the future of the new generation."

Mitsotakis will continue his tour in Ilia with visits to the Alfeios dam, Pyrgos and Andravida, while in the evening he will visit Egio.
