Attiki Odos considering filing suit if gov't suspends toll hike

Newsroom

The managers of Attiki Odos national highway said on Thursday they will take the government to court if it suspends a hike in prices of tolls this summer.

The company said they would reserve judgment until they review a government decision announced by Infrastructure & Transport Minister Christos Spirtzis on social media, in which he promised the scheduled rise in tolls would be suspended.

The company said that "when the case is judged by Greek justice, Greek citizens will be obliged to pay much more" in fines, and questioned the attitude of the state and its obligations towards investors.
