US Ambassador Pyatt congratulates new AmCham president Nikolas Bakatselos

Nikolas Bakatselos was elected new president of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), the Chamber announced in a tweet on Friday.

Bakatselos, who is managing director of Pyramis Metallourgia SA, was elected during the Chamber's annual Ordinary General Assembly meeting on Thursday.

In a tweet congratulating him, US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt also hailed outgoing president Simos Anastasopoulos for his collaboration, which included the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) of 2018 where America was the honored country.

"Hearty congratulations to Nikolas Bakatselos on election as AmCham President. No better person to build on pioneering work of his predecessor Simos Anastasopoulos in growing US-Greece commercial ties. He's already been a strong partner & advocate in Northern Greece and at the TIF 2018," Ambassador Pyatt said, "wishing him "kale arche" in Greek ("Happy start").
