New Environment Min Hatzidakis speaks of ministry's targets
NewsroomNew Environment and Energy Minister Costis Hatzidakis, in an interview with ANT1 TV on Tuesday, spoke of the ministry's new targets.
"We will do our best for the country and mainly for the middle and lower strata," Hatzidakis assured viewers and explained that the ministry he is taking over is important because it has to do with the citizens' everyday life.
"It has to do with our everyday life because it is related to issues like yesterday's blackout and the economy, because energy is crucial for investment in the country. It is a key lever for investment," the new minister noted.
Regarding the Public Power Corporation (PPC), he said that its rescue is a main priority of the government. He explained that there is no strategic investor right now. "PPC is on the brink of bankruptcy and nobody is interested," he added.
