Mitsotakis keynote speaker at Digital Economy Forum 2019 on Nov 25

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be the keynote speaker at the 'Digital Economy Forum 2019: Leading Greece to Growth' conference, which will be held on November 25 at the Athenaeum InterContinental hotel in Athens.

The one-day conference is organized by the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology & Communications, Enterprises (SEPE) and will focus on digital technology as the catalyst to the growth of Greek economy.

Key ministers but also chief executives of companies that specialize in digital technology, representatives of European institutions and economy experts will attend the forum.

The main topics discussed at the forum include attracting investments in digital technology, the advantages of digital information technologies and communications applied in the economy's productive sectors and the digital transformation of the public infrastructure.

In a statement SEPE said that emphasis will be given to the so-called start-up economy, which SEPE supports. It said that for the second year running it is holding an innovation competition called Startups d.Day, with the top five teams getting a chance to present their ideas at the conference.

The forum is under the aegis of Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos.
