The migration issue is the greatest social problem, said government spokesperson Stelios Petsas speaking to SKAI TV on Sunday noting that the Greeks should know that it is not a communications problem and that the coordination of all the government's agencies and the results is not a one-week matter.

Petsas commenting Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu's statements said that the issue is Turkey to control the traffickers in its territory and not to threat it will send to Greece and to Europe thousands of migrants and refugees.

According to Turkish media reports, the Foreign Minister of Turkey in joint statements with visiting German FM Heiko Maas on Saturday said that Greece shoots and sinks boats with refugees in the Aegean and forces many of them to return injured to Turkey.

He reassured that the government's policy aims at the reduction of flows in the winter and in parallel to the increase the number of readmissions.

Referring tot the local communities he said "We all understand that the Greek society is tired but the Greeks never turned their back to humanity" explaining that the people sent to the mainland are people with a refugee profile and families.

He said that the government needs some time, until spring 2020, in order for all its moves to bear fruit.
