Dendias, Cavusoglu meeting focuses on bilateral and regional issues
NewsroomForeign Minister Nikos Dendias had a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Geneva on Friday, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum meeting on a strategic dialogue for the Western Balkans. According to diplomatic sources, Dendias exchanged views with Cavusoglu on issues of bilateral and regional interest.
Immediately after his meeting with Cavusoglu, Dendias met with the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, in the light of the recent EU decision to refuse to set a date for the start of talks on North Macedonia's EU accession. The Greek minister referred to Greece's firm and ongoing support of North Macedonia's European prospects, while noting the need for strict adherence to the terms of the Prespes Agreement in its entirety. Finally, they agreed to strengthen the bilateral relations.
