Nikos Dendias met with Kuwaiti Prime Minister

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias met with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Tuesday in an effort to promote bilateral political and economic relations.

Bilateral relations and enhanced economic cooperation between the two countries dominated the discussion during the meeting, according to a post on the foreign ministry's official Twitter account.

Dendias also met with Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, with a focus on the strengthening of bilateral relations and regional stability, according to a foreign ministry tweet.

The foreign minister's trip is taking place in the context of Greece's goals for closer ties with the Arab world, expanding its cooperation and acting as a bridge between the Arab world and Europe, diplomatic sources said.

Earlier today, Dendias had a meeting with Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, discussing regional developments and bilateral relations.

The foreign minister was recently in the United Arab Emirates to attend the work of the Sir Bani Yas Forum, the first Greek-Cypriot-UAE trilateral cooperation meeting and hold contacts with political and economic reperesentatives in the country.
