Goverment spokesman Stelios Petsas placed emphasis on the recent tax bill tabled in parliament during a press briefing on Wednesday.

As he said, "it proves that we are doing everything that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had announced. We are doing what we have promised to do."

According to Petsas, income taxes for households and businesses are being reduced, entrepreneurship is being supported for the benefit of the workers and the real economy, corporate social responsibility actions and benefits are being promoted and incentives are offered to attract foreign investors. He also said that a key pillar of the bill's provisions is the tax relief for individuals and businesses that have been heavily burdened in recent years, as taxpayers of 12,000-18,000 euro income category will see a tax reduction of 80 to 200 euros, while the average freelancer will see a tax reduction of up to 1,300 euros.

Petsas also announced the prime minister's schedule over the next days. He said that Mitsotakis will chair a cabinet meeting on Thursday. On Friday, the prime minister will address the opening of the 13th New Democracy congress. The ruling party's congress will conclude with a speech on Sunday.

On Monday, the prime minister will travel to Madrid to participate in the summit on climate change. On December 3-4, he will be in London for the NATO Summit.
