Petsas: Amount of social dividend could be higher

Government spokesperson Stelios Petsas on Wednesday left open the possibility that the amount of the "social dividend" benefit distributed at the end of the year may be higher than originally estimated, without going into further details.

Speaking to ANT1 TV station, he said that the government's economic staff will finalise their recommendation by the end of the week.

Petsas pointed out that the government has not stated how much money it will allocate to the distribution of the one-off benefit, only the number of beneficiaries entitled to receive it.
