ND's Hatzidakis recommends seriousness and modesty

"Obviously, things are looking good for New Democracy," main opposition ND Vice-president Costis Hatzidakis said on Tuesday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency's radio station 'Praktoreio 104.9 FM'.

"However, we do not respond these results with self-satisfaction and arrogance. There is a need, on our part, for modesty, seriousness and an effort to convince as many of our fellow citizens as possible," he said.

"Our allies will obviously be our principles and our positions as well as the message that Greece must [become a country of] production, opportunities and Europe. Our ally will be our policy platform, which we have already presented and which we will further develop in the pre-election period. Our ally is our renewal," Hatzidakis said. He also highlighted the need for political stability in the country, "which is not only necessary for the next government, it is mainly for the citizens and for our country that has to overcome the ten-year standstill due to the crisis."

From now on, he explained, the main challenge for ND will not be defeating SYRIZA but an effective management of the problems.
