The government is in "feverish talks and moving very quickly," for the investment to develop Hellinikon, the site of the former Athens airport, Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Skai television on Saturday.

"Already the Joint Ministerial Decisions are being prepared and everything will go very well and very, very quickly," he said.

He noted that the prime minister is working on a series of draft bills whose main aim will be to boost growth and the economy, focusing on small and middle-sized enterprises (SMEs).

"The SME will be the focus of our interest because growth in Greece without SMEs cannot exist. It is not only about the big investments - Hellinikon or Hellas Gold. It is also about SMEs, freelancers and small-scale entrepreneurs," he added.

Replying to questions, Georgiadis said that he was currently preparing draft legislation to speed up licensing procedures and cut down bureaucracy for SMEs.
