Two men suspected of terrorism activities to testify before investigator on Tuesday

An Athens prosecutor filed terrorism-related charges for two individuals arrested after police sweeps and home raids on Saturday, while two more individuals are being sought for similar reasons.

The two men who were arrested after a Counterterrorism Service sweep and are suspected of being active members in the terrorist group "Revolutionary Self-Defense" (Epanastatiki Aftoamina). They were given an extension to testify before an investigating magistrate on Tuesday.

Criminal charges filed by the prosecutor include acts of terrorism jointly with others and repeatedly; membership in a terrorism organization, with the added crime of possessing explosives; and charges related to arms possession.

Midsdemeanor charges include the creation and possession of explosives, unlawful bearing of arms, illegal use of arms, and procurement and possession of narcotics.
