"No agreement on Libya can be accepted by Greece until the matter of the illegal memorandum between Turkey and Libya is over," stated Alternate Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis on Monday in an interview with Athina 9.84 FM.

"What Turkey does is to put diplomatic pressure on our country. I do not believe that any militarisation of diplomatic differences will benefit Turkey at this time," he said.

Asked about the Turkish exploration vessel "Oruc Reis", Varvitsiotis said that there was no attempt to violate Greece's sovereignty.

Finally, regarding Brexit, he said that the next difficult step will be drawing up a trade agreement between the EU and UK in 2020.
