Covid-19 cases and deaths in Greece much better than in other countries, Petsas says
Newsroom"Τhe curve in terms of [Covid-19] cases and deaths in Greece is much better than the curve of other countries. To preserve this, we must stay home for the next two to three weeks. We have extended the restrictive measures until April 27 and if we stick to them as we have done so far, then yes, we will see light. April will be the starting point from which we will build a better future from May onwards," said government spokesperson Stelios Petsas, in an interview with public broadcaster ERT1 late on Monday.
He noted that the solution was to extend the restrictive measures for three weeks and at the same time to focus inspection and enforcement efforts in areas where violations have been observed. "We will do this in the coming days and we believe that we will be able to better control the situation. The only measure that will be taken in the coming days is to make fines for those who violate regulations stricter," he added.
