Imamoglu restores the truth about “Ethnos”
NewsroomThe main opposition candidate for the metropolitan city of Istanbul, Erdem Imamoglu, in another attempt to restore the truth in the Turkish media, with reference to the Greek newspaper which is behind the term "Greek", explained that it was not “Ethnos" newspaper, but “Proto Thema".
Speaking to Hurriet journalist Ahmet Hakan, with whom he had argued in the past in a CNN Türk broadcast on the same issue, causing Mr Hemoglou's anger, he claimed in detail that: "The discussion that took place after the greek publications and that included a referral to the Turkish newspaper "Gunes", started from a news website called "Thema News". And not from the newspaper "Ethnos". The statement on a "cheap medium" (reported by Imamoglu at CNN Türk) referred to this Internet newspaper (and not "Ethnos" newspaper).
Concerning "Ethnos" ...
"The journalist wanted to follow the program of Mr. Emrem Imamoglu and on March 29th, he met him after lunch in the Uranjee region. They were photographed with the mayor inside one of the buses used for the election campaign, asked him some questions and got the answers ... about unemployment, women’s rights and his political program. It lasted no more than ten minutes. And the journalist wrote her article after the elections "
