Regional developments with emphasis on the Gulf crisis will dominate the meetings as well as the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean. Katrougalos will have the opportunity to analyse initiatives taken by the Greek diplomacy to stabilize the wider region.
Issues of mutual bilateral interest will also be discussed as well as cooperation between the two countries within international organizations.
During the second day of his visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani. Talks during these meetings will focus on strengthening bilateral economic relations, with emphasis on the sectors of investments, energy, infrastructure and tourism.
