Greeks are taking their fate in their own hands, main opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said after casting his ballot in general elections on Sunday.
After voting in Peristeri, in Athens' northwestern district, Mitsotakis said, "Elections are democracy's great celebration. I stand respectfully before the people's verdict".
"Today, Greeks are taking their country's fate into their own hands," he added. "I'm certain that tomorrow will bring a better future to Greece".
