Varvitsiotis meets with Russian Ambassador Maslov

Alternate Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis met with Russian Ambassador to Greece Andrey Maslov on Tuesday and they discussed collaboration related to the Council of Europe and to the Greek-Russian Joint Interministerial Committee.

Varvitsiotis briefed the ambassador on Greece's current chairmanship of the Council's Committee of Ministers. They also they discussed the rescheduling of the meeting of the two co-presidents of the Interministerial Committee which had had to be postponed in March due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The minister also reiterated the issue of Russia's returning of archives of the Israeli communities of Greece, asking for resolution of a long-standing issue.
