Gennimata: SYRIZA has failed; it's time for people's return to the Movement of Change

"SYRIZA was tried and failed. After the defeat of SYRIZA, there is no longer a derby. It is time for people's return to the politics of logic, for the turn of the people to the Movement of Change," its leader Fofi Gennimata said in an interview with 'Kathimerini' newspaper on Sunday.

Gennimata argued that things have changed since the national elections. "SYRIZA's big defeat in the European elections has created new facts. Polarization does not exist anymore. Our own bet is to get as many progressive citizens as possible out of the fake dilemma between SYRIZA and New Democracy. We have strong and renewed ballots throughout Greece and I think we have the prerequisites for the decisive strengthening of the Movement of Change," she said.

"The Movement of Change is the only responsible force and it has proven it. We are a force of stability and we will not let the country get again into adventures. We are not interested in government positions. We will assist with our proposals to change the electoral law, to complete the Constitutional Review, to settle all issues concerning our national issues and of course to negotiate with the partners to change the terms of the agreement," Gennimata underlined.
