Frontex vessels rescue migrants and refugees off Lesvos and Kos

Frontex patrol vessels located and rescued on Friday 55 foreign nationals in two separate incidents off the coast of Lesvos and Kos in the Aegean.

Specifically, early Friday ane EU border patrol vessel located 33 migrants and refugees on a dinghy.

All of them were transferred to the port of Mytilene on Lesvos.

In a separate incident, seven migrants and refugees were found on a dinghy off the coast of Kos and rescued, while the same Frontex vessel found also later found another dinghy carrying 15 foreign nationals and escorted it to Kos port.
