Dep. Social Affairs Min visits beach for persons with disabilities in Voula

Domna Michailidou exchanged views with officials and volunteers from all over Europe on the operation of the only beach with a complete access system for persons with disabilities

Deputy Labour and Social Affairs Minister responsible for Social Solidarity issues Domna Michailidou visited on Friday the beach for persons with disabilities in Voula which that was inaugurated in June 2019.

Michailidou exchanged views with officials and volunteers from all over Europe on the operation of the only beach with a complete access system for persons with disabilities.

"I want to congratulate all the staff that are taking care of our fellow citizens with disabilities in order to enjoy the sea every day. The beach for persons with disabilities is a model-beach and offers all the necessary equipment of high quality safety and access requirements" said Michailidou.

She said that in 2020 the infrastructures for persons with disabilities will be improved and the independent and unhindered access to every day life activities to become a normality for the persons with disabilities in Greece.
