Dep Foreign Affairs Minister to meet US Assistant Sec of State for Energy on Wednesday

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Kostas Fragogiannis will meet with the United States Assistant Secretary of State for Energy, Francis Fannon, in Athens on Wednesday, in the framework of the Strategic Dialogue between Greece and the US.

According to a ministerial statement, the Strategic Energy Dialogue Working Group, which will convene under both Fragogiannis and Fannon, will look into issues such as diversifying energy sources and energy distribution via Greece, will explore the potential for US investments in the Greek energy sector, and review opportunities presented in the hydrocarbons market, as well as expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources.
