"The citizens want from us to unveil a new programme that will meet their expectations for a progressive government" said SYRIZA spokesman Alexis Charitsis in an interview with grtimes. gr on Saturday adding that "SYRIZA has been established as one of the two main poles of Greece's political system".
He attacked ruling New Democracy (ND) saying that "we will be against the new regimentation that ND attempts to impose" adding that "In four months time Mitsotakis' government has proceeded to very worrying actions...from the dismantling of the labour protection web to a series of allegedly growth measures that wink at major investors and cancel every environmental protection legislation".
Criticising the migration-refugees management by ND, he said that ND did not proceed with the on time decongenstation of the islands and did not promote the issue internationally and also abolished the Migration Ministry.
Charitsis also said that a large part of the media and of the economic interests linked to them have a very hostile stance towards the main opposition (SYRIZA), something unprecedented in Greece in the post-dictatorship era.
