Turkish fighter jets enter Athens FIR without submitting flight plan

Two Turkish fighter jets entered the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) without submitting flight plans on Tuesday and flew at an altitude of 19,200 feet over the islet of Ro at at 14:29 and over the islet of Megisti at 14:38, the Greek National Defence General Staff said.

In addition, the same Turkish fighter jets flew over Ro again, at 14:43, at an altitude of 27,000 feet.

They were recognised and intercepted by Greek fighter jets.
